George Kerr awarded 10th Dan (Judan)

British Judo Association President George Kerr was recently awarded his 10th Dan by the International Judo Federation in front of 14,000 judo fans at the Paris Grand Slam (where Canadian Olympian Nick Tritton competed last weekend).  Kerr, 72, continues to instruct judo and now wears the coveted Red Belt. Kerr has received the highest possible honour in judo and follows in the footsteps of only 19 other judo experts, all but 5 of them Japanese, and only 7 such recipients currently alive.
